Currently, the whole commune has more than 100 households doing iron and steel casting. Each year cast more than 30,000 tons of cast iron and steel; revenue of more than 600 billion VND / year (accounting for 90% of the commune's revenue), creating jobs for more than 1000 local laborers and more than 2000 workers in the surrounding areas with an average income of 5-10 million VND person / month. The commune has also planned a trade village area concentrated in the center of My Dong commune with an area of more than 5 hectares. There are currently 22 enterprises registered to rent production and business premises.
